English with Annie is a private tutoring app used by one teacher and her students to manage lessons, vocabulary, and payments. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used.

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
• Profile picture: optional, if you choose to upload one.
• Lesson content: lessons, vocabulary, and any images or PDF files a teacher attaches to a lesson.
• Payment records: lesson package purchases and usage, entered manually by the teacher for bookkeeping. No card or bank details are collected or processed by this app.
• Push notification permission: if you enable notifications, the app requests permission from your device's operating system to send them.

How we use this information

Information is used solely to operate the app: to authenticate accounts, display lessons and vocabulary to the right student, track payment balances, and send optional notifications you've enabled. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, and the app does not include any third-party analytics or advertising services.

Data storage

Data is stored in a private database and accessed only through the app's own server. Only the teacher (as the account administrator) and each student's own account can access that student's data.

Data retention and deletion

Account and lesson data is retained for as long as the account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the email below.
